Literacy For Everyone (LIFE) Charitable Trust
Primary Aim:
To help in development of Literacy / Education in needy / underprivileged
part of society
Members:
Ordinary membership
will be open to everybody (We may put
a regular but small contribution of time
or finance as per the requirements).
Advisory Council Members:
Advisory Council Members
will be those who will be willing to
contribute a significant contribution
either by time or by finance. We can
decide on criteria.
Managing Members/ Trustees:
We will ask for volunteers
from society from various walks of life.
Our Ideal members will be one who will
be willing to volunteer enough time to
our cause for smooth functioning of it.
All decisions of management will be taken
by at least 2/3 majority of total Management
Membership. Management will be answerable
to Advisory Council.
Paid employees:
We do not plan to have
any paid employees initially but management
can decide in this regard in future as
per requirement.
Legal:
LIFE will be primarily
registered in India and May be in later
stages (if required) in USA. As a charitable
public organization, we will get 50%
deduction in Income tax of contributed
amount under section 80g of Indian Income
tax Act.
Finance & Accounting:
LIFE will be financed
by voluntary contribution of time and
money by its members. All funds will
be handled by managing members and all
flow of funds (both incoming and outgoing)
will have to be updated on a public website
(to be updated at least twice weekly
if not daily).
All expenses above Rs
1000 will require approval from at least
two members of management.
All Expenses above Rs
10,000 will require approval from at
least 2/3 of total Management Membership.
All expenses above Rs
50,000 will require approval from ALL
members of Management.
Plans:
To be made and executed
by management as per requirement , may
include:
- Financial help for disabled / needy
students subject to his educational
performance/needs (Management can
be flexible in such case and can
go up to higher studies after considering
each case)
- Announcement & distribution
of Cash reward / Honor for rural
Govt. School teachers in identified
areas, whose poor/backward student
get admission in reputed Govt. Educational
institutions (Like Sainik schools/
RIMC/ Sports schools /NDA / RECs
/ IITs /AIIMS/ Medical Colleges etc.)
- Set up of library/reading room
in needy area.
- Computer education programs

Management on case to case bases
Political Alignment:
As a social cause, we
are very much vulnerable to Political
Alignment but we will do our best to
keep ourselves away from any kind of
political alignment. Though everybody
will be welcome to be member of LIFE,
we will humbly request our fellows who
are active members/leaders of political
parties, if possible please keep away
from management/council. And other members
will also be advised to not to discuss
any politics on this platform, as there
are enough other platform out there for
that purpose.
